Kristen Watt, BScPhm, RPh, ICD.D, is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and governance leader. She is the owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton, Ontario and a multi-store independent pharmacy owner recognized for advancing innovative clinical pharmacy practice. Kristen serves as Board Chair of the Ontario Pharmacists Association and contributes to corporate strategy through her work with PharmaCorp Rx (TSX: PCRX). A graduate of the University of Toronto and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo, she became a prominent voice for community pharmacy during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to advocate nationally for expanding the role of pharmacists in healthcare.

Kristen Watt, BScPhm, RPh, ICD.D, is a Canadian pharmacist, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader known for advancing the role of community pharmacy in modern healthcare. She is the owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton, Ontario, where she has built an innovative practice model that moves pharmacists out of the dispensary and into clinical offices, allowing pharmacy teams to deliver high-touch patient care. Through this model and her work in independent pharmacy ownership, she has demonstrated how community pharmacies can expand clinical services, improve medication access, and strengthen primary care in underserved communities.
Kristen is an experienced governance leader and holds the ICD.D designation through the Institute of Corporate Directors. She serves as Board Chair of the Ontario Pharmacists Association, where she helps guide strategy for the profession and advocate for policies that strengthen pharmacist-led care across the province. Her board work also includes serving on the acquisition committee of PharmaCorp Rx (TSX: PCRX), where she provides strategic insight on pharmacy acquisitions and the future of independent pharmacy consolidation and sustainability.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristen became a recognized voice for frontline pharmacy practice. She helped lead vaccine distribution, therapeutic access, and clinical service implementation within her community while advocating publicly for the evolving role of pharmacists in Canada’s healthcare system. Her leadership during this time helped demonstrate the critical role that community pharmacies play in publichealth response and healthcare accessibility.
In addition to her business and governance work, Kristen is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy and a frequent speaker on pharmacy innovation, governance, and the future of independent pharmacy ownership. She brings a rare combination of frontline clinical insight, entrepreneurial experience, and boardroom leadership to organizations seeking to navigate the evolving healthcare landscape.

Our next speaker is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and governance leader who has spent her career advancing the role of community pharmacy in Canada. Kristen Watt is the owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton, Ontario, where she has built an innovative model of care that moves pharmacists out of the dispensary andinto clinical practice spaces to deliver high-touch patient care.
